Emilee Emiko is a multidisciplinary artist who grew up on an alpaca farm nestled between Portland and the Oregon coastal mountains. As an artist, both curious and introverted, she’s never taken a straight path. She attended art school for painting and photography, worked as a journalist, a video editor, and eventually found her way into the music industry. She traveled across two continents chasing love and the answers to life’s existential questions. All the while, music has been her muse and her fuel.
After finding a recording collaboration with engineer and drummer, Graeme Gibson (Michael Nau, Fruit Bats), Emiko began crafting her own songs and the two recorded her debut EP in Los Angeles. A number of friends jumped in to contribute, including Dan Schneider of The Singleman Affair, Lauren Jacobson (Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov), Michael Nau (Cotton Jones) and Ron Lewis (The Shins, Fruit Bats).
Emiko’s EP is an accumulation of love and longing, past and future and a lot of uncertainty. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to follow her zig-zagging path of creative expression.
